  hi.. just wondering what it was that first made you realise that jws didnt have the absolute "truth"?

  was there a specific event/turning point for you or was it a moment of enlightenment?.

  Like most on this thread itwas the lack of love. The willingness to believe in gossip and lies and still have the balls to say that you are in "the truth"! Also the fact that one of the elders was molesting his daughters and his wife was makred when she left him and he continues to this day to hand out sweets to the kids at the kH.

  been a long time since i've posted.

  just thought i would stop in, say hi, and get your thoughts on this.. since leaving the jws i have tried to be open to all ideas regardless of how different it is from the way i was raised.

  i am having trouble with one issue, though, the trinity.

  Here's my two cents worth.

  This is how I understand the trinity I could be way off but this makes sence to me. It's like a company owned by three people all having equal share and spending equal time working in the company. They all get on really well know each other well and are always in agreement. So even though there are three of them they are in effect "the boss". So Jesus, Father God and the Holy Spirit make one God but are three spirits. Not one three headed God like the WBTS explain it.

  Billions of Lives Depend On This?

  the greatest work of all time, never to be repeated, is supposedly done by jehovah's witnesses.

  of course you know i'm referring to the door to door work they take part in.

  so many lives are at stake and your life is dependent on if you "accept the good news" that they preach.. i surely don't believe this anymore.

  I have also been thinking about this. If the GB really wanted to reach as many people as possible they would use technology to get their message across.

  I was also thinking that if the WBTS had to close it's doors and all the assets be sold off and money given to the loyal JW's every single one of them would be very wealthy!

  UPDATE ON DANSK

  it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.

  as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).

  last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.
